Beer & Bread is a multi-use card game for two players. Its clever structure of alternating rounds puts a fascinating twist on player interaction, card drafting, and resource management.

Founded on the fruitful lands of an erstwhile monastery, two villages have held up the dual tradition of brewing beer and baking bread. While sharing fields and resources, they still find pride in their friendly rivalry of besting each other’s produce.

Each of you represents one of these villages. Over the course of six years - which alternate between fruitful and dry - you must harmonize your duties of harvesting and storing resources, producing beer and bread, selling them for coins and upgrading your facilities.

However, in order to win, you must maintain the balance between your baked and liquid goods. Because, after the sixth year, you only score the coins collected from the type of good - beer or bread - for which you earned less. The village with the higher score wins.

• BECOME A MASTER BREWER AND BAKER: In Beer & Bread, you’ll take on the role of a village leader overseeing production. Draft cards to acquire resources like wheat and hops, then use them to brew batches of beer or bake crusty loaves of bread. Sell your goods to earn coins, the lifeblood of your village's growth! But beware, competition is fierce – can you outmaneuver your opponent and become the most productive village around?
• A YEAR OF PLENTY, A YEAR OF SCARCITY: The game features alternating Fruitful and Dry Years. During Fruitful Years, bountiful harvests and plentiful resources make both brewing and baking a breeze. But Dry Years test your mettle. Resources are scarce, forcing you to get creative and use your cards wisely to make the most of what little you have. Will you adapt, or will the harsh conditions leave your village struggling?
• MULTI-USE CARDS FOR EVERY NEED: The cards in Beer & Bread are the heart and soul of your village's success. Each card offers a variety of choices. Need a quick influx of resources to get that next batch of beer brewing? Use a card to harvest wheat or hops. Want to permanently improve your village's brewing or baking capabilities? Invest in cards that upgrade your facilities, allowing you to produce more efficiently in the future.
• A DELICATE BALANCE: While it's tempting to focus on both beer and bread production equally, there's a clever twist to victory in Beer & Bread. At the end of the game, you'll only score points from the type of good – beer or bread – for which you earned fewer coins. This unique mechanic encourages you to carefully manage your resources and specialize just enough.
